I am a nanny and one of the kids I watch has Celiac. She was so heart broken to find out that the mac and cheese sause had gluten in it.
Also you might want to note that you want to say rice noodles allergie awareness because then they will use a different pot to make the noodles. At least thats what they told me. If its just cause you like rice noodles they dont take the extra precaution.

Oh great tip Melinda. Thanks! I definitely need to include that then. I had no idea that they took that extra step.

I was just there and saw that my local Noodles & Co actually has gluten free fusilli & bowtie pasta! Not sure if that’s everywhere or just that particular location. 🙂

Sweet! Thanks for letting us know Laura

Hi, i an Celiac & love Noodles & Co. I was told, at a noodles & co, just a few days ago, that they cook there grilled chicken breast on the same flat top that they cook the breaded chicken on. Which would contaminate the chicken & make it non GF!! They said they could cook it in the oven & avoid cross contamination. This concerns me because for 1 1/2 yrs no one told me this!!! Any thoughts??

Hi Tiffany. That’s pretty crazy! Like on one hand it’s pretty cool that Noodles would bake your grilled chicken, but on the other hand it’s a little messed up how it took them 1.5 years to tell them their dirt little secret. At least now we know that you should always request to have your grilled chicken baked.

Don’t get the tofu! Found out the seasoning they use on it have wheat in it.

What about their tomato bisque soup? Is it Gluten free?
nftong
Mary, it is not, unfortunately. The listings for allergens can be found for each food item on the Noodles website.

I was so excited to see the gf fusili yesterday when I decided to try noodles and company. However, the cashier told me that the only entree that is gf for certain is the pad Thai. Even with the gf noodle alternative! I also checked the menu when I got home whick confirmed that. I do hope I am wrong, but if you have celiac, please be careful!

I just ate there for the first time last week. (I was diagnosed with celiac a month ago.) They had the rice noodles AND the gf fusili. When I asked for chicken, the employee asked me if I was just on a gf diet, or did I have an allergy or something. B/c if I had to avoid gluten, the chicken is cooked on the same cook top at the breaded chicken. So he recommended I didn’t get it. He then said that the steak would be cooked separately and they wash the pan out. I didn’t even have to ask! So very cool!! And so very good!!

The comments here explain why we’ve had two completely different experiences here, I’m glad I read this! I was about to write them off because the first time we went everything was great, but we both got sick the second time even though we ordered the same dishes. I know why now–the employee asked if it was an allergy the first time, they did not ask the second time. I should have known because I found a gluten noodle mixed in with my rice noodles (unfortunately it was at the bottom of the bowl) and our food came much faster than the first time. Next time we go, we will definitely speak up. Those with kids who are disappointed about the mac and cheese, order the buttered noodles and ask for extra cheese, my daughter loved it with shrimp.
