Did you know that Dunkin Donuts added a few items to their gluten free menu?
According to BostInno, a few Dunkin Donuts locations are testing out gluten free blueberry muffins and gluten free cinnamon sugar donuts.
And don’t worry, they’re safe since they all come individually wrapped in a plastic seal bag.
Now if you happen to be at a Dunkin Donuts that isn’t trying these gluten free products, I went ahead and listed all the things you can get from there.
Now are you ready for this huge Dunkin Donuts gluten free menu?
Well brace yourself because here it is!

Dunkins is coming out with a gluten free menu! Not all of them have it but the one closest to my house has a few types of muffins and 3-4 donut choices 😀 (although I must admit that I very much dislike their coffe… even living in Boston)
Adam Bryan
That’s awesome Kaitlyn! I can’t wait for the one near me to unveil a gluten free menu. Thanks for the info!

I was thrilled when two local dunkins were testing the blueberry muffins and the cinnamon doughnut. Several of my co-workers and I were gobbling them up, then wham! They stopped. I have contacted DD several times to see what other local DD might have them (willing to travel) but no response. Thrilled to hear that somewhere in Boston they have several kinds of muffins and doughnuts…which one in Boston? I am on my way there now…well, as soon as you give me the cross street or neighborhood Kaitlyn!

I hate their coffee. Not sure about gf in my town but will check it out.

The Oreo cookie coolata is NOT gluten free and if they don’t clean the machine after making one then none of the coolatas are gluten free. It is my experience that they use a cup of water to clean the mixer but they do not change the water frequently. Beware people. I hope this helps.
David Berg
I have heard that all flavored coffees, or most of them contain gluten. So, if they don’t clean their machines, do they clean the brewers? It could mean that none of their coffe would be gluten free. Is there anyway to check?

I saw a comment attributed to a manager at Dunkin Donuts. When asked about Gluten Free and their coffee he was attributed to having said, The tap coffee served has special flavoring that makes their coffee unique and it is not Gluten free due to the added flavoring. The bagged Dunkin Donuts Coffee you purchase to take home and brew does not have the flavoring that makes the store brewed coffee taste better than the “bagged or take home and brew coffee. Their comments here on line appear tricky but the proof is in the taste difference. I can identify a Dunkin Donuts cup of coffee from any other taste in coffee products in a fiddler’s second.
Kelly
The coffee flavors are added to each individual coffee so the only way for cross contamination would be if A. They added something you didn’t ask for or B. The spoon they use to stir you coffee is not clean. You can always ask them to rinse the spoon.

I really want to try one! Does anyone have an updated location which sells the gluten free donuts? I’ve been to a couple locations in Longwood/Fenway area without any luck 🙁
Annette
I asked my local DD if they knew anything about it. The manager said he did not know which DDs currently have it, or when we would get it locally. He DID say that a GLUTEN FREE button is on the register! I am hoping this means they will all eventually have them.

Please give locations for gf foods

The Dunkin Donuts in Hartford, CT on Capitol Ave is selling the cinnamon sugar donuts and blueberry muffins. Individually wrapped and sealed. My 7 year old was thrilled. They are pretty good. They said not many people know about it so not selling well. Go get some so they bring to more stores!!
Adam Bryan
That’s pretty sweet Susan! Let’s just hope they start working their way down the east coast (Maryland preferably 🙂 )

Had a woman in front of me ask if any of the doughnuts were gluten free ( which as someone who deals with this reg. I knew to be a no) the man behind the counter paused and then told her that all the doughnuts were gluten free. (Evanston, il) im not sure if he misheard her or just chose to answer no because he had no idea but i had to quickly jump in on this one. Im a little.concerned that at this point in time people still dont think or arent educated about how bad gluten can be if u really cant eat it, anyone else have this issue?
Kimberly
I have been trying every Dunkin in reach, to find one that makes the gluten free muffins or doughnuts and have yet to find one (in the WPB/Lake Worth, FL area). What’s slightly terrifying is every time I have asked the person behind the counter, Every response has been the same….they stare at me blankly and mumble some response, then when I attempt to get a more clear answer, they say no or shrug. It’s very obvious that they have no idea what I’m talking about, what gluten is, or what they’re selling and it’s very discouraging that these people could care less about their own products. I get it, they aren’t scientists or surgeons, but I wish I didn’t know more about what I buy than the people who are making them and selling them everyday! Very frustrating. Sorry, I know that’s not helpful but I understand your comment.
cm
I’ve had that same experience. I tried one in CA, NE, KS, and IL. None of them knew what I was talking about. Even worse, I asked for a coffee with soy milk in KS and was told they don’t sell soy, but I could have skim milk if I wanted it. Really??? A coffee shop without soy? I’ve given up on DD.

Disappointing… they aren’t going forward with the GF products at this time. I guess I’ll have to stick with my coffee and occassional hash browns for now.

OK. Since Dunkin Donuts management has not answered the question about their plain/ regular in store brewed coffee, I have to assume it is NOT GLUTEN FREE until told otherwise in this website.
Alanna
What about the hash browns? Anyone know?
Robin
the hash browns are!! the heat them in an oven on some type of wax paper the paper is changed every time!
aimee
They are gluten free with your standard cross-contamination disclaimer and if the staff follows process – hash browns are always on a fresh paper and cooked separately from sandwiches/bagels/etc in its own drawer and they use gloves. I eat them all the time and haven’t had an issue (but for the time i saw them put them on a tray with a sandwich to cut corners and i made them do fresh ones for me the right way).
Kimberly
I just contacted DD Corp and found out that the Caramel Swirl and the coffee flavor shots are all gluten free.
Adam Bryan
Thanks for info Kimberly! It’s great to know that all flavors are gluten free 🙂
Linda B
I had the Caramel Swirl and had a gluten-reaction. I have had many of the other flavors including pumpkin, French vanilla, hazelnut, toasted almond, coconut without any reaction. I assume their Caramel Swirl is made with barley sugar and not cane sugar.
Adam Bryan
Thanks for sharing you experience Linda!
Linda B
I emailed DD after posting and they assured me that all of their flavor shots are gluten free. Don’t know why I had that reaction, but wanted to follow up on my comment to be fair to DD.
Adam Bryan
Thanks for the update Linda!
Kelly
Linda just make sure they give you shots not swirls I be live all the swirls have gluten
Martha
Hi Linda,
Probably the caramel had dairy and dairy has a protein (casein) that can cause the same reaction as gluten. I am celiac and I avoid all type if dairy because of this “molecular mimicry” .
Linda B
That’s great! Nice to know there’s one food there we can purchase! The DD’s near me haven’t come out with their pre-packaged GF foods yet.
Joe
All they have to do is get your order correct. What’s so hard about black coffee w/one Splenda? 3 of 5 days a week it’s wrong no matter which DD I go to. Get english speaking help.
la
are there anysandwiches
gluten free without the bread
Leann Faber
Gluten free….really? How do you think they get the flavoring into the coffee? Alcohol Not gluten free. Some of the flavoring they use have gluten in them. The pumpkin spice coffee actually started causing me neurological damaging in my feet that mimicked MS. So after two trips to MAYO in Jacksonville, it ended up being my flavored coffee.
Sasha
I work for DD, and all the Swirl flavors have Gluten (sugar) in them; The shots do not!
Sandy
Gluten is not sugar, it is wheat, barley and rye!!!
Kelly
That’s why the signs are up that sais let your server know if you have allergies to food so they can do their best to avoid cross contamination.
R Anna
I called corporate and they told me that they cannot tell me that their coffee is not gluten free. And cannot be cross contaminated by other products that contain contain gluten at the restaurant. So even if you order a black coffee there is no guarantee that there is not donut crumbs in it. Or anything else containing gluten.
