I’ve heard a lot of good things about Raising Canes, but I still have never been able to try their famous chicken fingers.
Just the fact that they don’t freeze their chicken strips truly makes me want to try them out.
Another great thing about Raising Canes is that they are able to make special gluten free strips if you were to request them.
Here’s what Raising Cane’s told me about their gluten free selection so hopefully this helps you out.
Raising Cane’s® the breading for our chicken and our toast does contain gluten. The coleslaw, Cane’s Sauce, and fries are all gluten free; however, due to the fact that our chicken and fries sometimes share fryers during our peak times, we cannot guarantee our fries to be gluten free.
In the past, we have accommodated guests with dairy and egg allergies by cooking “naked” chicken fingers. This is not a frequent occurrence and is done at the discretion of the management at the location.
If you do decide to visit any of our locations, please ask for the manager on duty and notify them of the dairy allergy so that they may best accommodate you. Thank you for allowing us to serve you and we look forward to the next time.
This is very nice of Raising Canes and I truly respect them for doing this.
With that being said, here’s the Raising Canes gluten free menu.

Asked for GF options at our Raising Cane’s in Waco. Was told no. Then asked for ‘naked’, and was told that they didn’t have those.
Disappointed, Patrick
Adam Bryan
That is so unfortunate Patrick. The corporate side of Raising Canes seems to encourage their restaurants to follow the “naked chicken” guidelines, but it seems like some restaurants choose not to got the extra mile.

I was at Canes in Gahanna, Ohio and they were very accomodating and honored my request for naked chicken for his egg allergy! We love the food and this will continue to allow our son to enjoy as well.
Adam Bryan
Kudos to you Raising Canes. I’m glad you had a wonderful experience Dee!
Summer Tullier
I have a picture of the naked tenders if you would like to post.
Adam Bryan
That would be perfect Summer! Could you send it to adam @ glutenfreeguidehq . com please?

They fry their food in soy oil? Is this gluten free?
Dwayne Marlborough
There is no gluten (a grain protein) in soy oil. However, the oil may pick up gluten if breaded or other gluten- containing foods are cooked in it.
Amanda
Do they use milk On the naked chicken?
Summer
No.
Summer
Former canes employee with celiac disease here. The naked strips are NOT gluten free, they are cooked in the same fryers as the regular strips. The only truly gluten free options are the sauces and the coleslaw.
Rebecca G
THANK YOU for clarifying that, Summer! You have saved me from a lot of trouble.
Candy
