16 Awesome Gluten Free Pizza Restaurants

Last updated on Aug 22, 2013 by Adam Bryan. These menus are unofficial meaning they may not be accurate and can change at any time.

Whether if you love the small pizzerias that dish out killer gluten free pizza or if you prefer the mainstream restaurant chains that deliver hot pies to your house, you’ll be sure to find a great gluten-free pizzeria on this delicious listing below.

Enjoy and dig in!

Don’t forget to save me some too.

16 awesome gluten free pizza restaurants and menus

Gluten Free Pizza Restaurants

Here are 16 gluten free pizza restaurants that I think you’ll love:

1. Pizza Fusion

Pizza Fusion is a pizzeria chain that focuses solely on creating the best pizza for everyone. So they did their research and sought out tasty alternatives that allowed individuals with food allergies, selective diets and digestive intolerances to enjoy the likings of Pizza Fusion.

2. Dominos Pizza

Not only do the smaller, more niche based pizzerias offer gluten free pizzas, so do the big boys. The only downside about Domino’s gluten free pizza is that it’s not recommended for anyone with a gluten allergy or Celiacs disease. Why? Way too much cross-contamination. However, this is a perfect pizza for anyone on a non-medical gluten free diet.

3. zPizza

This eclectic casual pizza joint dishes out a killer gluten free thin crust pizza across all their stores in 16 states.

4. Extreme Pizza

Extreme Pizza dishes out a gluten free version of almost every single one of their signature pizzas. That’s sweet!

5. Picazzo

If their’s one thing that makes Picazzo the most unique gluten free pizza restaurant chain, it’s the fact that all their pizzas, pastas, and breads are gluten free by default. Cross contamination is almost non-existent.

6. Garlic Jims

Gourmet gluten free pizza is Garlic Jims specialty.

7. Figaro

Fiiiigaaaarooooo. Figaro. Figaro. Figaro. Figaro…

8. Your Pie

According to one of my readers, Your Pie’s pizza is “great, buttery, and smooth.”

9. Godfather’s Pizza

Unlike all the restaurants on this list, except one, Godfather’s Pizza’s gluten free pizza is served “take n bake” style. Meaning that they’ll deliver you a pre-wrapped gluten free godfather’s pizza that you can bake at home.

10. Sam & Louie’s New York Pizzeria

When you order a pizza from here, please please please emphasize that you need a gluten free pizza.

11. Mellow Mushroom

Be sure to order the 12″ gluten free version of their pizzas.

12. Donatos

Just like Godfather’s Pizza, Donato’s will give you a pre-wrapped gluten free pizza that you can bake at home. Cross-contamination: 0% #win

13. BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse

A gluten free thin crust pizza is their specialty.

14. Uno’s Chicago Grill

The only downside to this gluten free pizza is that it’s not a gluten free version of their signature Chicago deep dish.

15. Pizza Pie Cafe

The one thing I like about Pizza Pie Cafe’s gluten free pizza is that you can order BBQ or marinera sauce instead of the typical pizza sauce.

16. California Pizza Kitchen

Although CPK doesn’t currently have gluten free pizzas on their menu now, they are testing them and should be unveiling them later this year, according to an email they sent me.

Russo’s Coal Fired Kitchen and Russo’s New York Pizzeria are incredible in the huge selection of gluten free items they offer…. both pizza and pasta dishes. They are in several states. They have several delicious frozen pizzas sold in grocery stores, too. It’s seriously the best pizza I’ve ever had. Almost all their pasta sauces are gluten free already so they just serve whatever sauce you want on a very good al dente penne gluten free pasta. I’ve had so many of their sauces and several of their pizza’s and four of their frozen pizzas. I’ve not been disappointed once. 🙂 Here’s their webpage: http://nypizzeria.com/

In Cincinnati, OH Larosa’s Pizza has a gluten free pizza at 8 of their locations and it is excellent. They also take great precautions to avoid cross contamination including cooking the pizza on it’s own foil pan, having the managers specially make the pizza and conveniently listing the gluten free ingredients.

This says 16 GF pizza restaurants that you think I’ll love, except you admit that one of them doesn’t even serve GF pizza yet, so you surely can’t have even tried it. Do you generally recommend, using the word “LOVE” no less, restaurants that you haven’t even tried? I was interested in your site and had even checked out the link on Amazon to your book, but now I trust nothing you say. As a celiac with severe sensitivity, I count on others who have actually been to places to let me know of their experiences. You’ve just landed yourself on my ‘fraud’ list. Congrats!

Zio’s Pizza in Omaha, NE has gluten-free pizza. Rotella’s bakery (NE and surrounding areas, and online) sells an awesome GF crust you can buy frozen to take home and add your own toppings. Pizza Ranch in IA and NE has a good GF pizza. Had the Godfather’s GF pizza – never again. Not sure what the crust was made of, but – bleh. Just be certain to make sure at any pizza place that the toppings are GF. If they aren’t made in-house I wouldn’t trust them as many pre-mixes have wheat added as a thickener. Even some meat toppings have wheat in them.

Pizza Hut should be on this list because they make a decent pizza that is certified gluten free and okay for people with celiac to eat. Just to make sure, I tested one of their gf pizzas to 5 and 20 ppm of gluten and both tests came up negative, showing there was no gluten present. Check out the test here at http://www.foodtestnetwork.com/gluten_pizza_entries
