By this time, you’ve probably heard about those daily deals websites, right?
If not, then you’re missing out on some delicious restaurant deals.
And I’m not just talking about a measly 5% off your restaurant bill.
I’m talking about discounts that will save you between 50% to 90% off the normal price.
Not bad, right?
Plus, there’s a little daily deal restaurant hack that I know you’ll love, but we’ll get to that later.
First, let’s talk about how daily deals companies and services work.
How Daily Deals Websites Work
Daily Deals websites, such as Groupon, work with local companies and business to provide special deals for a certain amount of time. But these deals are only available to the people who signed up for a free account through one of these daily deal services.
These deals can be as lucrative as $50 of food for only $20. All you have to do is buy the restaurant promotion and redeem it at the restaurant.
$30 of free food? Not too shabby.
If you don’t know how to get started, here’s how:
- First you create a profile with a username and email address
- Then you choose your deal preference, including location (restaurants, shopping, travel, beautify, etc.)
- Once you complete your preferences, you’ll get access to both local and national deals, which can also be emailed to you daily.
- Whenever you find a deal that peaks your interest, all you have to do is claim it, redeem it, and enjoy.
It’s that simple!
4 Daily Deals Websites for Restaurants
Below, you will find 4 of my favorite daily deals websites that will provide you with some very nice restaurant and dining discounts, deals, promotions, and experiences.
Groupon
When it comes to daily deals, Groupon is king. There are just way too many deals to take advantage that you will literally go broke within hours. Don’t forget to get the app for your smartphone as well, which gives you instant access to deals at your fingertips.
LivingSocial
In a close second, is LivingSocial. But in my opinion, LivingSocial has the most ridiculously awesome restaurant deals and discounts. I’m talking about 90% off restaurants. That’s killer. And like all deal websites on this list, LivingSocial also has an app.
Google Offers
Google Offers is Google’s attempt to go head to head with Groupon after Groupon turned down Google’s $6 billion buy-out. Through Google Offers, you’ll find more specials such as “buy two entree’s, get a free dessert” than the other sites. Instead of giving you ridiculous savings, you’re getting free food, which to me, ain’t something to complain about. Plus there’s an app that gives you access to all the deals on your phone.
Amazon Local
Amazon Local is my new best friend. Although there aren’t any locations in my city and county, the restaurant deals are sick. The discounts are around 75% off on average. Plus, having a pretty cool mobile app as well as the ability to sign up with an Amazon account makes like so much easier. I love it.
Daily Deals Restaurant Hack
Here’s my favorite, most effective ways to take advantage of daily deals and promotions –
Create a special email account.
The best thing about these daily deal websites is that they send you daily emails with restaurant deals. However, sometimes these emails get lost in your email inbox, or worse, they may even flood your inbox.
So how can you make this process a little more easy to manage?
Create a gmail account. I say gmail because they have a separate mail app that you can use on your smartphones to check your gmail email only. Plus, this account can merge with the account that you use to create a Google Offers account if you choose to go that route.
I personally created a Gmail account that I used to sign up for all the daily deal websites mentioned above and it’s made life a little easier.
Now I can quickly browse and keep track of my daily deals and specials without having to worry about fishing through hundreds of unread emails that flood your inbox daily.
This way, I can now keep track of all my daily deals without having to worry about my main email inbox getting flooded daily with deals. Now my deals are kept organized which saves me a lot of time.
And as an extra time saver…
You don’t even have to click on every single deal.
Why?
Because every deal that comes through to your email account has a subject line that includes the type of deal, the restaurant/business, and the location.
Basically, if the deal doens’t interest you, you don’t have to worry about clicking through the email trying to figure out whether or not this is something you want.
This extra daily deal website hack may seem a little silly, but seriously, think about it. How many times do you delete an email from your inbox just by looking at the subject line.
Eliminating deals just by looking at the subject line will save you so much time.
I also have one more hack for you – the Groupon restaurant hack.
You Can Save and Extra 15% Off on Groupon
What better way to take advantage of an awesome Groupon deal than save an extra 15%?
(This is for your eyes only, unless you want to spread the word and help your friends save some extra money. But why would you want to do that 😛 ?)
That was sarcasm if you didn’t already know. Please share, comment, and subscribe to get even more awesome restaurant hacks.
Thanks for reading and enjoy!
Bon Appetit
